[UMUM] DEBAK DICERITAKAN DI KEDUTAAN AMERIKA?

Assalammualaikum.... sedang admin godak-godak mengenai kampung Admin... Alangkah terkejutanya admin apabila satu artikel mengenai seorang Pengajar (Teacher in English) yang mengajar Matematik dan Bahasa Inggeris di SMK SARIBAS!!!!....

Admin mengambil sedikit petikan dari sumber berkenaan:

Saribas Secondary School in Debak, Sarawak was my Peace Corps assignment.  I taught mathematics and English for two years and I learned more from my students and their families than I ever could have imagined.
Debak was a great place to live.  The school was still pretty new and small enough that we knew everyone.  People were incredibly welcoming – from the Chinese shopkeepers to the Malays in the kampungs to the Ibans in the longhouses. Halfway around the world from my own family, I found a new home.
Most of the students were boarders, their homes too far for daily commuting.  That meant that we became like a big school family, sharing chores and fun as well as schoolwork.  Even the day students would return to the school each day after their meal to take part in school chores, study time, games and clubs.  And on weekends or holidays, I would often be invited to visit students’ families in their kampungs or longhouses.
Living far from the city, we didn’t always have electricity or modern conveniences, but we had a lot of fun.  Sitting on the ruai in the evening, with the kelita flickering as an old man told stories of Iban heroes is a magical memory.  Sharing stories with a Malay family about life in an American family brought us all closer.  Watching the “aha!” look on a student’s face when he finally understood a math problem was so rewarding - and  so was the pride in a young woman’s eyes when I praised her essay.
Forty years later, my students have grown.  Some are farmers and teachers, nurses and doctors, engineers and businessmen – all kinds of lives.  When I visited Sarawak a few years ago, it was clear that, even though the distance is far and the years are long, the  memory and affection never goes away.

MENGAPA ALTITUDE (SIKAP) YANG TIDAK PERNAH BERUBAH [UMUM]

Assalammualaikum....

Maaflah, lama tak update blog ini. Admin terlalu sibuk dengan tugasan yang luar biasa sejak-sejak akhir ini. Alhamdulillah.... Blog kita semakin banyak dilihat nampaknya....

Altitude atau sikap? mengapa admin ungkapkan perkataan tersebut didalam tajuk utama dalam entry ini. Ya... Altitude merupakan satu tingkah yang perlu diambil berat oleh seseorang individu... Tapi kebanyakannya adalah HANCUR. Admin kata HANCUR!!!!!!!!!!

Lihatlah Taman Reakreasi dekat simpang? Bagaimana rupanya? Lihatlah Lampu penerang jalan dari SK Datuk Bandar ke Pasar? Lihatlah dengan mata hati anda... tidak perlu lihat dengan mata kasar anda kerana MATA KASAR anda telah BUTA!!!!...

Mengapa tiada baikpulih dan pemulihan terhadap dua fasiliti ini dilakukan? ADA!. Memang ada permohonan pemulihan dan balikpulih dilakukan, tetapi pejam mata Admin mengatakan DITOLAK!!.. Admin kata DITOLAK!!!... Hantar seberapa banyak pun permohonan pemulihan dan baikpulih dihantar kepada Majlis Daerah Betong, memang itulah jawapannya.. Tahukah anda apa jawapannya?

"Pagi ni baikpulih, Petang dah hancur.. Mentol pecah, Tiang kemek"

Admin tanya, "Sapo mpun kejo tuk!!!!"

Anda jawab lah sendiri kerana jawapannya ada pada anda.

Tahukah anda? Debak bakal ada WATERFRONT. Ya.. Debak bakal ada Waterfront nanti... Bolehlah Admin gelarkannya nanti sebagai "WaterFront Saribas".  Tapi, bilakah siap? terpulang kepada altitude atau sikap anda sendiri... Anda fikirlah sendiri.....
